Day 2TO THE RIFT VALLEY

This morning we drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley. We arrive at Lake
Nakuru National Park in time for a mid-morning game drive.
Enjoy lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Game lodge as we get ready for our afternoon short
game viewing drive.
Lake Nakuru is world famous also as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. Besides that,
more than 400 species of birds can be seen in the park. Between the lake and the cliffs in the west,
large pythons inhabit the dense woodland, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling
from trees.
Lake Nakuru is among Kenya’s finest national parks. Flanked by rocky escarpments,
pockets of acacia forest, and at least one waterfall, the park is gorgeous year-round and
is home to both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos, and endangered
Rothschild giraffes.

Day 3NAKURU -MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After an early breakfast this morning, we drive through the floors of the rift valley and
into the Masai Mara. Lunch will be taken at a Narok gate town to the Masai Mara. After
lunch, we will hit on the road to enter the park, game viewing en route to arrive in time
for dinner at the lodge. After, unwind on your private verandah as you look out across
the plains of the world-famous Mara.
Set high on a hilltop above the Mara, the lodge is blessed with sweeping views of the
savannah below. In the distance, you can see the meandering coils of the hippo-filled
Mara river.
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is widely considered one of Africa’s greatest reserves,

where the Maasai community co-exists in harmony with the local fauna. The co-
existence of man and wildlife makes this one of the world’s most unique wilderness

regions. The Mara is home to a breathtaking array of life. The vast grasslands are
teeming with herds of zebra, giraffe, gazelle, and topi. The acacia forests abound with
monkeys and birdlife.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this natural paradise, returning to the lodge for
dinner, relaxing around the fire pit, and overnight.

Day 4THE MARA TRIANGLE

Wake before the dawn for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness a Masai Mara
sunrise. After a quick cup of coffee, you’ll head out into the park to watch as the sun
sets fire to the savannah and the big cats take advantage of the morning cool to search
for a meal.
You’ll then return to your lodge for a late breakfast before packing a picnic lunch and
heading back out into the park for a day-long exploration of the Masai Mara.

Day 6NAIROBI-DEPART

Optional Balloon ride this early morning at the Masai Mara followed by a champagne breakfast,
which we highly recommend. Where you Lift off at dawn rising with the sun and gently float in
whichever direction the winds of the morning take you. At times this balloon will be piloted at
the treetop level offering unique perspectives of the wildlife and many great photo opportunities.
Nothing can quite compare to the feeling of soaring over the wide-open plains at sunrise
before touching down for a champagne breakfast out amidst the wilderness.
A perfect way to finish with an amazing champagne breakfast
After breakfast this morning, we drive back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at the
world-famous Carnivore restaurant before heading to Jomo Kenyatta International
Airport where you embark back home.
The Carnivore Restaurant is renowned for its variety of exotic meats and famous
“Dawa” cocktails. A uniquely Kenyan take on the Brazilian churrascaria, an enormous
variety of meat is roasted on huge metal spears over a hot coal fire and carved at your
table onto piping hot plates. Fresh salads, unusual side dishes, and assorted sauces
accompany beef, pork, lamb, goat, sausages, chicken, ostrich, and occasionally crocodile.
