Join me on this special free walking tour for history lovers and pyramid fans to explore some of the famous Egyptians
Site of the treasury of Giza The Great Pyramid of Giza of Ancient Egypt has always required awe and recognition from us "mortals", and rightly so. The incredible architectural specimen was built around 2560 BC and held the record for the tallest structure in the world for a whopping 3,800 years with its impressive height of 481 feet (146.5m). But before we get into figures and statistics, it is generally believed that the Great Pyramid was built as a funerary monument for Khufu (or Cheops in Greek), who was the second pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty. And despite these "monumental" designs, the only portrait of this mysterious ancient king (with a myriad of conflicting tales from his life) survives only from a tiny 3-inch ivory figurine that was discovered in the early 20th century century.
After that we move to the tomb of the worker, we continue the tour with the most fascinating point which is the panoramic view where you can see 9 pyramids together not just three as the whole world knew!
We finish our tour with King Chephren Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx , the most famous monuments of the ancient world!
These towering stone structures were built around 4,500 years ago on a rocky desert plateau near the Nile and always amaze visitors.
