Description

At the appointed time, we will meet in Santander Park , the city's central hub and a place that, like many Colombian cities, embodies history and tradition. Ready to begin discovering the essence of Bucaramanga?

From there, on the eastern side, we'll visit the Club del Comercio , a former meeting place for the social and business elite, which still retains its value as a symbol of distinction in the city. Very close by, on the southern side, we'll be amazed by the Sagrada Familia Church , whose founding marked a milestone in the religious and cultural life of Bucaramanga.

Just a few steps away stands the historic Hotel Bucarica , a building that once welcomed travelers and dignitaries and which today maintains its legacy as part of the city's architectural heritage. We'll continue on to an excellent pastry shop located in a traditional setting , an icon of Bucaramanga's gastronomy, famous for its artisanal preparations and desserts that are part of the region's signature flavor.

We'll continue along Bank Street , the financial epicenter where the main bank headquarters are located. Here we'll also stop at a traditional juice or fruit stand to sample typical products like cocota, soursop, or pineapple.

Later we will explore the Paseo del Comercio , one of the oldest commercial passages in Bucaramanga, and visit a traditional site recognized for its local flavors and its deep roots in the daily life of the city.

On Diagonal 15 , we'll cross the Metrolínea pedestrian bridge to learn how the mass transit system works and how to get around the city easily. Then we'll stop at a traditional bakery , where we'll sample "la mestiza," a unique treat that combines the flavors of corn and chicharrón, a symbol of local bakeries.

The tour will take us to the Pasaje de Edecanes , where we'll visit a historic café , renowned for its specialty coffee, and explore the Casa de Bolívar , now a museum. Along the same route, we'll discover the Casa Luis Perú de la Croix , another historic building that also serves as a museum, and the Parroquia San Laureano , one of Bucaramanga's oldest churches, steeped in history and spirituality.

In García Rovira Park, we'll discuss its role as the city's administrative center, as it houses the Governor's Office and the Mayor's Office . Finally, we'll arrive at Luis Carlos Galán Civic Plaza , a space dedicated to political memory, founded in honor of the assassinated liberal leader. Located across from the Palace of Justice , it's one of Bucaramanga's most iconic landmarks.
